LCD/LED monitoring system choices???

Hi, guys, after a couple years of savings and waiting for the right price since 2009 I will be able to buy VS 700 system soon, but I couldnt decide between 2 of 24” or one 32” ( same price) for my recording computer system , I was thinking of getting 2 24” monitors but since I learned about Xray T-bar made me wonder which one will be more simple / clear in screening during recording tracks. Please share your thoughts and experiences. Thanks V

I have only one 23" acl monitor and it work nicely wih X-Ray.

One thing to know about x-ray is it do not work with 32 bits plugins if you use 64 bits Sonar. The Fantom and Arx (get one since they are dirt cheap and sound awesome!) editor are 32 bits plugins and open in bitbridge so you can't x-ray bitbridged plugins in 64 bits Sonar. This is true for all 32bits plugins in 64bits Sonar. But I think you can use the Fantom instrument definition to access the Fantom presets without loading the Fantom editor.

If I had to choose, I would make shure my video card support the resolution and get the 32" led monitor at full resolution. Check if both the video card and the 32" monitor have a DVI-D connector since they give a higher resoution than VGA.

A large display will let you see an incredible part of the project which is something very handy for me. I would add a 20" or more (they get cheaper every day) later for plugins or whatever.

This is my preference but two 24" monitors will give you a very nice experience as well :)
