LINK FIXED-Puremix Mixdown Contest Entry OH BABY

Hi all,

Comments appreciated on my contest entry.  It is only a mixdown...I didn't record any of the tracks.  I used X2 with much ProChannel usage (no other plug-ins).

It's not as loud as it could be as per Contest requirements.  I did polish it a bit with Ozone 5.

The artist is Liza Colby.

Thanks!

Thanks Frank.  I got it fixed.  The # sign shouldn't have been in the link.  I copied and pasted it, so I don't know how it got in there.

    Try again?

    Thanks.

Now that I can get to the song, I'll respond. Very nice mix for this piece. Everything sounded nice and clear to me. Also, it was a nice song for you to be able to work on. Very nicely done. Congrads!

Looks like they are giving away some nice toys... I mean tools...

    Best wishes...

I have DL'd the files but for some reason they won't extract properly. I end up with empty folders or a message to "insert a backup disk"..... only 2 of the files actually unzipped OK.... the others.... nope.

    What unzipper are you using?

    Good Job Tony,

Interesting to go in and listen to all the different mixes on one song.

I really like that Delay you are using on the VOX as well

I think I got the files.... still haven't loaded them in.... I needed to "open" them in the browser and they came in just fine. Previously, I was DL-ing and trying to unzip in the computer....

You have to love those guys at Voxengo, I have a bunch of there stuff and it never fails to deliver. I have and regularly use GlissEQ, LF Max Punch (on bass tracks) and several others.

It sounds pretty good Tony, I may like it just a little wetter and more saturated on the overall mix but that's a personal preference. Excellent job!

Oh and you need more guitars ;-)

Did you see the Seinfeld episode where George's password/pin was Bosco? :-) That was a good one.

Band-  We are not allowed to add any new instrumentation to the mix.  They gave us 7 stems to mix.  And they asked not to Master or Produce it.  Kind of hard not to do!  lol
I doubled the single guitar track and used the Haas effect on it to give it stereo width.  I used the CA-2A on the vocals with a tad of Lexicon Pantheon on her...I wanted to keep her kind of raw and out front.

If I had been free to do what I normally do to a mix, it would sound much better.

    I appreciate the comments!

    Yep-  I saw that episode.

    Cheers!
