LOSING ALL TEMPO CHANGES

How, I wonder, do you drag or import or paste in a midi file WITHOUT losing all the original tempo data in the imported midi file????

have you tried turning it into a groove clip?
in loop explorer? save in there.

pretty sure this should do it.

That's a thought.   I realize now that if I load Sonar clean, ie no previous midi files, the tempo of the new midi file is retained.

Kinda obvious, I admit.  So I may have just answered my question.  But groove clip makes total sense too....

    Thanks,
