Is that the "improvement"? Have you tried again and had better luck? best regards, mike

No - the improvement is that with the LP64 gui open and a project playing - you can drag nodes all over the screen without a glitch. I believe this is intended behaviour.

mike_mccue Is that the "improvement"? Classic McMike! Seriously, I used tried the LP on a CPU-intensive project and its performance is VASTLY improved. Heard a couple of clicks while moving nodes around, though...

I loaded LP-64 and it didn't crash. One thing I did prior to installing X2 was to clean up my VSTs. I got rid of probably a hundred audio FX and softsynths that I wasn't using and were probably gumming up the system. I'm sticking mostly with the Cakewalk provided tools. There's enough of them to cover just about every recording need and learning how to use them properly will take more time than I have.

Make sure that you installed the latest LP64 that came with X2. If you chose not to update the included plugins you may still have the old version. Also make sure you don't have multiple versions of the same plugin in your scan path since it will pick the first one it finds.

How do I install latest plug ins that came with X2? I choose the *Basic( recommended) not the *Advanced when I installed and I can see in my plug ins that there are no duplications. the LP64 vst ID in the plug ins manager is "1129802865" is this the new ID number or this not relevant?

Well unless you had SONAR long before the rest of us, that's from your X1 installation. Delete that and ensure the new LP64 is in there. I had both and it was only picking up the old one so wasn't updated, but deleted the old and all good now.

Mine has the same date as yours. It works just fine. I'm not sure how it could have a more recent one.

You can check the current version by right clicking in explorer and picking properties and then looking at the details tab. Version 19.0.0.306 is the latest version for LP64Multiband_64.dll (size 2646 KB) as well as LP64_EQ_64.dll (size 2633 KB) As long as you don't have those same dll's in other locations in your VST path you are good. If those dll's are current there is no need to reinstall. Do you crash whenever you try and load the plugin and did you have X1 installed prior to X2? Also try loading in a new project.

Oh, I read 'date created', not 'date modified'. Mine is 14th as well. My bad. Delete the other one, and keep the 'modified 14th Sept' one. They were working on it up till the 14th, hey?! It's actually interesting to look into some of the plugs and see when they were last worked on! Rapture was mid 2010 since the last re-work. R-Mix was sorted a month ago. Breverb on the 10th. Linear Phase plugs look like the last to be tweaked!

I have X1 instaled prior to X2 installation but didnt experience that on X1. I noticed this with loading the old project from 8.5 producer and tried it on X1. when I first play this project on X2 I hear I hear garbled sound then paused and tried to disable or even delete it its then that will start to have a white screen then crash... I tried a new project and load and played , same thing sound is garbled and when I try to delete it sonar will crash but will not crash when clicking the power/on button on LP64. I tried to open also the LP6 multiband it displays only the square boxes not the knobs, graphs etc. how can I attach a pictures here? I will try to recreate again and try to make a video of it but thinking how do I send it to cakewalk? or is it ok to post in youtube (private) and post the link here?
