LP64 multiband compressor - the forgotten compressor

Anyone use this?

I know the eq is a bit glitchy
but I've recently taken this out of the vst archives dusted it off and have been trying it out
mainly on drums

sort of a compressor and eq combined

I am quite impressed - but it never seems to get a mention on the forum

Anyone??

I'm using this plugin all the time.  Its one of the better multi-band compressors out there.  Apparently in X2 these plugins have been improved to be, "glitch free."  Hopefully some other tweaks.

The LP EQ, Compressor, the P64 and the VocalStrip 64..   Add a value to the Sonar Bundle that is hard to find in any other DAW.

Some really awesome, and overlooked stuff...  True

    Cheers

I'm using it on a bass track with great results. I tried some substitutes but this multi-band has a certain sound. Too bad it's latency keeps me from having it on while recording. I hope they upgrade all the 64 bit Sonar plugs eventually. I'd like them to give that vintage channel an overhaul as well.

The high latency puts a lot of people off. But that's the price of linear phase filters.
Personally, if I need a multiband compressor I reach for the Sonitus, which is more lightweight. At least until FabFilter gets around to making a multiband.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

Yep, never got around to the LP Multi Comp either. Been using Sonitus on vox when necessary. Getting a little more experience with it, fixed some harshness in a vocal yesterday that i couldn't seem to touch with even multiple eq's and compressors. Used to use the LP EQ, but the glitching became too distracting. Very interested to see what the bakers did to the set of LP's.
