I don't think anybody's trying to say you don't know anything. I'm just saying it sounded ok to me. These things are subjective. :)

Daryl,

Nice work, sounds like the original except the singing is good on your version;)  I also like how you brought the bass, drums and percussion out front on your version vs. the Madonna version.   Sounds really good.

Regards

LOL. Thanks Mark - really appreciate it.

Nothing really to add that hasn't already been said.    Sounds great!

Vocals are a standout, of course, but I also kinda liked the way the guitar pulls back a little.  Works for me.

Wait..... I played on this?

When was that?

Oh......just checked my records. That was like 2 months ago. And yet the bazz does not sound stale.

How'd monkey boy do that?

I took your bass part, wrapped it in a blanket and stored it in a badger's set for 2 months - it came out all fresh and fluffy

Baps, my (very) limited experience with playing live taught me that if the drummer and the 'bazz' player were not in sync, then you were totally chingado. And you got da groove, here! In the pocket.

Cheers,

Bert

I agree. Baps hit the back of the net with this. Thanks

I'm going to need to hear this quite a few more times to get my fill. It's great to hear it again performed with the same sensuality that was there in the original. When Madonna plays this live now, she changes it too much and just turns out weird IMO. Liz captures here what Madonna seems to have lost after her second album. A huge talent that current Mrs. Daryl 1968. A wonderful production I greatly appreciate.
Oh sorry, I missed brother Mesh was the guitar on this, masterful work my brother

Thanks so much Grant - really glad you like it mate

there was a guitar? there was a bass? I'm just here for the singing. Great voice, better than Madonna's which is not very high praise actually. You get the point, hopefully!

All seriousness aside, great mix on this.

cheers,
