Labyrinth (Still on going)

New week and 2 more mins added to it. Need a break from this piece now.
Have a listen and let me know what you think, and what pictures are painted in your mind.

Sounds very cinematic. Are you doing this for a project? I could never just sit down a create something like this without a reference, like a video or something. Mix is very big and well done. Nothing jumped out in a bad way, so I think you are heading in the right direction.

Only as part of my album, learning about orchestration and how the tones and techniques of the instruments create tone and colour to paint a picture or tell a story. I came up 3 note chant while doing my day job and expanded it from there. The only reference is in my head, however once I thought of a dangerous labyrinth, I just followed where the music took me.
Thanks for lending me your ears. :)

That was really nice. I'm in the mood for a creepy movie with some demonic theme. ;-)

    Very, very well done!

I can't recall exactly what the first version sounded like - very similar I would guess - but this is sounding really good.   It still has that Egyptian vibe but knowing the "dark" aspect from last time around it is coming through.  Were the double-basses/cellos there before?

Love the choir "breakdown", very nicely done.  How many tracks/articulations is that?   And I like the slow build-up coming out of it.

The 1st version was two mins long, so I've not done a great deal on the 1st part, Mainly bring the drums up I think.  The d-bass and cellos were there before, I might have added a little bit more saturation it them to help them come through.
The soprano choir starts with 2 and ends in 3 parts, with a boys choir hitting the highs.

Thanks for coming back to it Steve. Where do I go now? hmmm :)

I get epic, with a touch of intimacy that brings me close to a strong main character(s). It could either be a medieval piece or perhaps a space opera. I like the mix.
