I just took that picture and posted it.

BTW ... that's the tile we updated the kitchen with ... or I should say glass tile. It's not traditional tile so to speak. And the stove top I got for %50 off. I love a good deal. :)

If you right click and select 'View Picture' you can see it in high res.

I like that splash back, those mosaic tiles look really effective with that spooky relief effect beneath the glass.

And the stove top, I'm not sure what it does but I've seen one before.

Thanks! It's supposed to have that hammered copper/metallic look. My wife did it all. I mixed the mortar and cut all the glass, but she put it all up. She's really good at tile/glass work.

This is a little better shot, I just went and took it. The piece of unfinished cabinet is where the old counter top used to be. If I take that down, you would see swirls of old glue there. I have to wait until the weather warms up to get shop set up so I can cut/sand/finish it to make it match the rest of the cabinets.

It's comes in 1ft x 1ft squares, but it's still hard to get it all lined up. And the linear strip at the top was a real pain. I installed the lights and that switch. The switch wasn't there when we moved in. It's actually a dimmer, although it looks like a normal toggle switch. I wired the cabinet lights in to it and fed it off the outlet. It looks awesome in the kitchen at night with the under cabinet lights on dim. It almost glows. It's a galley type kitchen, the tile is on both sides of the kitchen. This counter is 10ft long with a 4ft peninsula where the sink is. The other side is 7ft long. Way too big for us, but the couple that lived here were going through a divorce and priced it to sell so they could get away from each other. Sad, but that's how life goes some times.

Oh! I know! It drives me insane. I may cut it in to small pieces and make it so the grain is going the right way.

Thanks. I give all the credit to my wife for this one. She tiled the bathroom floors and put down the laminate floors in our old house. She's got a knack for doing this kind of work.

She has brought me home machinist tools in the past. She gave me a nice digital caliper one time, and I kept a big pile of steel from my pole barn I just built. I'm thinking she could pull it off.

But the real killer ... and every once in a while I still shake my head over this ... she could have got me a brand new Oscilloscope. She told her boss I wouldn't want one so he gave it to someone else.
