I do like your acoustic guitar playing, the fret noise squeaks just add to the atmosphere. I liked this track, nice one.

Ha, there was a time when I even paid attention to the squeeks.  I actually know the trick to stop that.  Too lazy, I guess.  thanks for listening.  Lagrima means *tear* in spanish.  This piece needs to be played more lugubriously than in this version.

It's a good tune, but I think it may me a little to overcompressed, I hear the different dynamics in your playing soundwise, but I would like to hear it in volume also.

Ida, thanks for listening.  I think the *compressed sound* you're talking about (I hear it as well)  is simply the sound of the direct classical/electric guitar into the recording software.  You have good ears because  real classical guitar sounds are quite different.  I didn't use any compressors on it though.

    It's so wack, it's phat.

I dunno, I'm just making this stuff up as I go along.

This is a great tune, it was on a CD of lullabies that helped lull my kid to sleep. Great tune and very well played it is. Did you compress it much or kinda leave it as is? Compression would bring the volume of those squeaks up and you might consider reducing it just a hair if so.

Or eq roll of some of the highs?

    Or let it be.

    Captain's choice.

anyway, very cool tune well done.

Tom, yes the *compression sound* is disturbing.  I'm looking for a good condenser mic so I can record my better classical.  This is just a cheap breedlove pursuit.  Thanks for the directive.  Compression sounds bad on acoustic instruments IMHO.  Luthiers (et al) spend years putting together a perfect instrument.  I'd want to capture their vision in sound rather than tweak it.

I've always liked that song and I like your version too. If those squeaks are hard to avoid, I'd try reducing their volume in the Track view. Kind of tedious though.

David well played. Nice tonal variety and good timing too - I liked it when the tone gets a little harsher with more attack - very Hackett'esque in style.

Please take this as a compliment but I could hear the challenge in that piece - one of those that sounds far easier to play than is actually the case. El Noi De La Mare is in a similar vein and is one I am currently trying to master.

If I could make one embellishment it would be to add some additional high harmonics at the end to give it that final flourish if that were possible. Thanks for sharing, a pleasure to listen to. Andy

Bjorn, the squeeks are avoided by gently lifting one's finger from the string BEFORE moving position of LH.  Most good players spend alot of (IMO) wasted time on these trivial things.  It was the pathological quest for perfection in the community that I left the CG world.  They're simply not fun people to hang around.

🙈 Not how it was meant. I'm no purist when it comes to classical guitar technique - I just love the genre and wish i could play better. My one and only guitar doesn't even have nylon strings so I can't even achieve the right sound. However I'll upload a link to my attempt at a Mauro Giuliani piece I tried to master recently and see what you and other folks think - that seems only fair. Andy

I don't know a lot about classical guitar or how the peice is supposed to be played. I do know that I clicked the link, it started playing, I closed my eyes and put my head back against my chair and enjoyed what I can honestly say was, to my mind and ears at least, a beautiful peice of music. Thank you.

Whatever your thoughts and personal criticism (i personally dislike everything musical that I do.. my vision far exceeds my ability unfortunately) clearly people here enjoyed your work and I know I did, will keep an eye open for more of your works in the future. :0)
