Land Down Under

Hi everybody
Here is my version of one of my favorite 80's tunes "Land Down Under" by Men At Work. I thought i would do a little video to go along with it. Excuse the editing but its my first go with after effects which blows my mind :)
The video is here
https://youtu.be/c_nc6fPlubU

And the soundcloud link is here (you can download it!)
https://soundcloud.com/si.ollinson/land-down-under

Thanks for listening and if you like it please share :)
Cheers
Si

Its nice to be important but its more important to be NICE :-)

Thanks for listening and the kind words everybody!!

"Where beer does flow and men chunder" - I think chunder is an Australian slang word for being sick". Makes the song even funnier in my opinion.

I really enjoyed doing this one so Im thinking of revamping loads of 80's tunes
    ( ideas appreciated haha)

I really do find Sonar easier to get my ideas across nowadays. Either that or Im just getting old and care less

    Cheers

    Si,

Interesting take on a classic 80's song.     Very enjoyable listen and hope to hear more of your 80's interpretations.

    Good video too!!!

"Chunder" or "technicolor yawn" or "chuck".
Good old Aussie slang for, to throw up, after a good drinking session.

Yeah! Super cool! This is how a cover version should be done. Not trying to copy the original as close as possible. Leave that to the wedding bands. Love the punk pop approach of your version : ) Pro sounding production & mix !

    Well, that was a blast!

Having played the song in a cover band while it was popular during the 80's I loved this version - never sounded like that before but I wish it had.
