Lanes question...

So...

I'm just getting acclimated to X2 and was doing some recording tonight and tried to implement take lanes.

Perhaps I'm doing something wrong, but I expected previous tracks to be muted automatically as I began to record subsequent tracks using lanes.

To do so, I have lanes enabled and discovered that I must use the Sound on Sound record mode for it to create a new lane with each new recording.

Am I missing something?

Thanks.

You still have to setup your "prefs".
    Store "separate" etc.
Much patience will be required, lanes are "buggy" at best.
Moving, copying, bouncing; no end to the "various" results the "same"
    techniques will produce.
Sorry I can't be of some "real" help.
