Langauge of the Heart (David Wilcox cover)

Greetings, all.  I have this post in the Music Creator 5 forum.  I welcome your constructive criticism on the sound of the guitar.

Hi Colonel, a bit to much chorus for my liking and it sounds like there is a phase problem with the two mics, I'm not hearing a lot of bass.

There may well be.  Will try inverting the phase on one and toning down the f/x.

    Thanks for listening.

Hi Steve, a technique I often use is to record  the direct output from the guitar on one track and a single mic on another track. I then use the direct track to give the sound more body and the mic track for some sparkle.

    Rik,

That's the technique I use when I can record three tracks simultaneously, which I couldn't with Music Creator 5.  That is, I used the direct in from my Ovation to one track, a guitar mic to a second track, and a vocal mic to the third track.  That also allows for indivdual e.q.-ing.

I can do that as of tonight as I've upgraded to Home Studio 7.

    More to come.

    Steve
