Laptop installation question. PLatinum

I would like to move the cakewalk content folder to the same location as my desktop install. My separate sample drive. Tested sample disk today with laptop and it works great. It's a SSD-Intel-newer model. I have 2 actually, one is an identical backup thanks to Acronis 2015. I have NOT installed Plat on my laptop yet, probably over the weekend. I have X3e on the laptop only.

I was thinking the prefs and folder locations will come into play here. I don't use the default (User folder c appdata etc.locale for drum maps, plug in layouts. session drummer 3 stuff, etc, etc (never have in years and years) The entire CW content folder is on my separate sample drive in my desktop. My laptop will be the same I hope.

Hope that's clear, probably not -sorry
Thanks

You will be able to move the content folder as long as SONAR knows where the new location is, as you are aware.  It will work as it did in X3x, so you should be good to go.

    Kind regards,

    Thanks Technot,

I think I just moved it and pointed what I could to that folder (from the folder location prefs, like plug in menu layouts, drum maps etc. It was a few years ago. Not sure about Session Drummer 3, think that was a registry edit as were some others-not a big deal-just the mind and the memory slowly go away :-(
