Lars, do post at BandLab Deals forum too

I’m on my knees.
No ties with BandLab.
Just hoping your deals get seen.
So please also post them in their new forum.

I think Larry needs to do what he thinks is right; not what we want.
I can certainly see why he wants to maintain only 1 forum.

All of the above.  It's been exhausting posting on multiple forums,
as I also post on Waves Audiophiles and KVR occasionally, based on
what deal it is, as well as others...but have been maintaining BOTH
Ex Pats and Cakewalk...which is tedious to say the least...
I'll do my best!

Yep, guys, let's have a mercy for Larry :)

Maybe he would need sleep, spend time with friends and play guitar from time to time ? ;)

He is the King so he says where to go and we humble subjects should follow, right ;)

agreed. It should be easier for him.
Someone could cut and paste from Beyond to Bandlab. At the very least that is what he would have to do. Or someone could put up a link to get to a post at Beyond.

That being said, it's sad to see that the community may split. I found your comments super helpful

I do have to say that I really don't understand why THIS
forum just can be what it has been!  It seems "odd" that
they would need to create a "new" forum.  This forum has
served all of us for years, and, even though it has it's quirks,
is quite well equipped for everyone's needs.  Just doesn't make
sense to me...but, what do I know?

Very true. This forum is handiest, dandiest, and easiest on the eye. Simply keeping it alive would be the best option.
That said, the new BandLab forum is quite similar in GUI and operation. So either they keep our lovely old forum open and running or they implement an almost identical copy. Accept no substitute!

It’s 2019. Living in the past doesn’t bring it back... If Bandlab wants to bring a brand new and updated forum, I don’t see the problem. It will still be about creating new deal threads and posting about them...

Since this forum can’t email about notification of new posts, it’s outdated and not very user-friendly.

I am on many forums, and right now, it’s the ugliest and less easy to follow, unless you live your life here.

Resistance for the sake of « good old time » just doesn’t make sense to me... but what do I know?

It’s sad to see this community going to be splitted.

Compared to the other forums, I don’t see anything different enough to justify a lot of movement toward Beyond my DAW forum.

Where the new members will come from after some from here goes there??? Nobody knows about that forum except here, which soon will stop being active.

Beyond my DAW has sadly the potential to becomes a country-club with just a few users for a lot of work of posting deals. What’s the benefit of splitting, just because some people disagree about a new forum from Bandlab?

The current forum is sadly a thing of the past, with the previous owner who left the building...

If I remember well, Zo, my old Cakewalk account got simply transferred to BandLab. Easy as pie.

I can't remember either Zo. But I think you have to login to Bandlab with the same email as the one for your Sonar/CW account here. Then it will automatically be transferred/linked.

You'd have to had created a BandLab.com account with the same email that your CW products are registered under. It's not automatic.
