Last evening photo from a drive through the forest

MY wife and I have been going out each evening searching for the deep summer flowers... it's so hot out there the bugs are laying down and we've found the evenings in the pine woods to be almost comfortable.

Who am I kidding... I'm standing at my tripod bathing in sweat, and fighting to keep my glasses functional as they get all greasy and fogged up. I end up in my shorts and no shirt (not a pretty sight) because everything else is soaked with sweat.

Yeah... I love the heat. I love the humidity. Yes. Yes. Yes.

This bird flew in last night to say hello as I was working on a few lillys.

as usual, right view image, to see the full size.

400mm lens, f something, 1/350th, ISO 800. Sunset with the light leaving fast.

I'm off to work... see ya later!!!

best regards,
mike

Very nice.  At least you could shed your shirt.  The owl has to suffer the heat--feathers and all.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot--hey, who the hell are you guys?

That's great, Mike! :)  I was also going to say, at least you could shed your shirt.  lol

I'd be interested in your flower shots too.  I'm busy finding all the wildflower seeds these days to spread around my woodlot in the fall.  :)

I'm not sure I should be as high as that clown and then ride alone.
