Latency issues with the R24 and Sonar X1

Hello, still a newbie at computer recording...sorry . I was able to figure out what my problem was with the muffled/grinding audio.......LATENCY!!! That's what I thought it was- just didn't know how to fix it in Sonar, but figured it out. It was set to low...but now it's really high and I can't seem to lower it anymore and get a good result. The only driver that it will let me use with the R24 as an interface is the WDM/KS in driver mode, any other driver including ASIO greys out the R24 and can't select it. In standalone applications such as Guitar Rig and the R24 as an interface with ASIO- works awesome-low low latency, but when using it in Sonar I can't use the ASIO driver only WDM/KS.

Does anybody know how to fix this?

Anybody else using the R24 as an interface with Sonar and getting good results?

Thanks.

Do you have another ASIO enabled hardware connected to the system?
