Latest Update - Reg Svr32 Failed [Resolved]
The Extracting Files progress bar has been in the same position for about 20 minutes at about 33% complete. Prior to that the update routine appeared to be running swimmingly. I did cancel the operation. It wasn't responding. Upon second attempt, the install worked up until 'Registering Files' then this message: C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Utilities\CW120.dll Unable to register DLL/OCX: Reg Svr32 failed with exit code 0x3 That .dll file is in the directory, last modified on 4/25/16. (I may have updated Waves Central on that date, not sure.) Apparently it's a known problem. Working on it.... http://www.cakewalk.com/S...led-with-exit-code-0x3

There are other threads of fixes for this problem, you might want to look around. Though, they are long involved processes (install ALL Windows updates!..) But... (reposting my comment from another older thread) ====
I might have figured out an easier fix for this(?)
I don't like doing massive updates to my Windows (7 64bit SP1), it can screw up other stuff. - I downloaded the MS VC redist from MS from the links here but it was an older version than I have, so I didn't want to uninstall that. ---- Anyway, I went into Control Panel / Programs and Features / clicked on the "Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redist (x64) 14.0.23918" and clicked "Change", and then "Repair" ..After that my Command Center was able to do the update! Yay me! :D

P.S. I also had the installation progress bar lock up on me when trying to update to the 2016.04 version. I waited an hour or so and finally cancelled it. - I think this might be a Sonar update / Command Center problem. (I did, at one point, on a second try of the update, close / [X] out of the command center window, and the installation bar started moving again!) And they are telling us to spend how much time and effort on a thousand updates because they don't know which one it is? - It's YOUR mess up dummies! :( Make sure you know how to program before you try and ... program!

My Win 7 system had 70+ important updates available. I haven't seen the Updates Notification displayed for quite some time. Windows says that the last successful updates were installed in July 2015. Even now, there is no notification in the system tray. I have Win 7 configured to automatically check for updates, but not to install automatically. Apparently that stopped working. I seem to be able to download a few at a time via Control Panel, then have to Shutdown and repeat the cycle. This may be connected to the Windows 10 malware-like roll out....

I'm updating and restarting.... And the Windows Update window only says 'Downloading xx updates (0 KB total, 0% complete).' When I click the 'Start' button and see the icon on the 'Shutdown' button, I shutdown and one or two updates install.

Yes, it is slow going, once the windows updates gets hosed. It took a long time for win 7 to search for all the updates. I left the computer and didn't get back to it for couple hours. It found around 70 so it took some time to install.

It took a long time for Windows to update. Too many Shutdowns and Restarts to count. Anyway SPlat is installed, but it's running in Demo Mode. That laptop is connected to the internet, obviously. Now I'll have to address that.

Having the the same problem with the last two updates. Worked with Phil (Cakewalk Rep) and he suggested that Windows Update was the problem, so I took care of the issues with Windows Update. That didn't fix the problem, so I manually updated C++ vc 64 redist, version 14.0.23026, which is the latest you can get from Microsoft's site. Don't know where Dartagnan got Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redist (x64) 14.0.23918 from. At any rate the repair process failed. Windows Update tells me that I have no more updates, so...I'm at a loss as to where to go next. I'm running Windows 7 on a Sony Vaio all-in-one. Had no issues before these updates.

Bummer. I'm guessing you've already done this, but one thread suggested uninstalling and reinstalling CCC, after the Windows updates were current.
