Latest W10 update puts Addictive Drums back to demo mode

Just a heads up really.  I recall this always happens with a meaty W10 update - Addictive Drums thinks you've got a new computer so you have to delete one of your authorised computer installations and install a new one.

My stuff

Intel Sandy Bridge i7 2600 @ 3.4GHz, 4 cores, 8 threads, 16GB RAM.
OS & Programs drive: 240GB SSD
Data drives: 1 x 1TB drive RAID mirrored, plus extra 1TB data drive
Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Cakewalk by BandLab 64 bit, Studio One 3,
Band In A Box 2016, Ozone 8
+ too many other plugins

XLN should sort this out though. I have plugs from umpteen other developers and only AD suffers this problem.

Strange it only happens on some systems. Are you guys using default install locations? I am.

Yes, defaults.  I only get this on 'big' W10 updates, so about every few months or so. Such updates seem to alter a component(s) of the 'computer ID' code that AD2 sets on its install so AD2 can't recognise the PC anymore.

I wish someone would  create a computer/os that would be smart enough to know about such policies.  I have had to reactivate Addictive Drums more than once..or, maybe Addictive Drums should get their act together.

I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left...

    Thanks

Thanks Zargg. One question though. If it was installed via the cakewalk command center.....would I have an account at XLN? I'm not at the machine currently to attempt anything.

XLN is the manufacturer of AD2. You (probably) used their "Online Installer" to install it in the first place.

That's how I have had to manage all XLN installations.  Addictive drums, keys, reauthorisations after major Windows updates, etc.
