Launching Sonar Platinum launches Windows Installer then just hangs

Microsoft installed updates, now when I try to launch Sonar Platinum I get a Windows Installer popup that says "Preparing to install..." Then it does nothing and just sits there.  WTF?
 
This a windows 10 pro installation running the latest version of Sonar.  Anyone know what's up with this?

    Semi-Annual Channel (Targeted)1709 16299.64 10/17/2017 11/14/2017 Microsoft recommends
     
    Current Branch (CB)1703 15063.726 4/11/2017 11/14/2017
     
    Stay on 1703, do not let your system install the 1709 update.  I expect this is going to become a huge problem as more machines automatically update to 1709.
