Layla 24 problem with Win 7
I've been using 2 Layla 24's with XP for years with no problems. With Win 7 using the 8.5 layla driver, Win 7 is inconsistant deciding which card is #1 and which is #2. Simply rebooting can change this, which one is #1 and which is #2.
Each card has 8 outputs that go into my external mixing console, so it the audio gets reversed then the routing is all wrong. For example, a stereo guitar that was coming into the board on channel 3 and 4 is now at 14 and 15. If I have to reboot in the middle of a mix, the routing can get changed.
I assume Win 7 must be inconsistent which PCI layla card it initializes first. When the audio reverses I can tell by just playing a wav file through win media player. It will play it out of the wrong output. So the problem has nothing to do with Sonar. I've reinstalled the layla driver a few times with no success.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
