Legacy Cakewalk Plug-ins 'Analyst' & 'Amp Sim' for Platinum 'registered'?

I just did a fresh install of Win 10 and SONAR Platinum but Cakewalk plug-ins 'Analyst' and 'Amp Sim' were not installed. I have both plug-ins in version SONAR 3 and copied the DLLs in the C:Program Files/Cakewalk/Shared Plug-ins directory and restarted SONAR but they are not recognized. Other plug-ins in that directory appear in the DirectX Audio Effects (DX) window in the Plug-in Manager.
How do I make those plug-ins available in Plug-in Manager and/or my projects?

thanks.

DirectX plug-ins require registry entries created with the command line utility regsvr32.exe. The best way to install legacy plug-ins is using the advanced install option of the SONAR installer. This will get the programs installed correctly with presets.

Analyst has been removed in favor of the new Quad Curve flyout which is unfortunate because the Analyst has some really cool extra feature (like outputting MIDI automating and a bunch of other stuff the QC doesn't do).

Don't know about Amp Sim (another interesting tool IMO) but likely.

Do an Advanced install of your previous versions to see if you can snage them without reinstalling the entire programs. I just keep everything installed (and if I did a clean install I think I would reinstall back to X1 Prod Suite just because I like to poke around old versions sometimes and of course get all these removed plugs).

Be aware they remove some of this stuff for a reason. Usually some kind of stability issues. Never really had a problem with the Analyst though.

Cheers.

Also if the DX plugins are 32 bit and you're running 64 bit Sonar they won't work. There is no bridging software for DX plugins.

It's possible to get a DX to VST wrapper and then rely on Bitbridge r jBridge to do the 32 to 64 bit bridging stuff. You'll have to google DX to VST wrapper though as I haven't used or needed one in years.
