Length/duration of clip

When I record a clip in an instrument clip, the last event usually does not continue to the end of the bar so the clip ends at the point the event stops rather than the end of the bar. On the Fantom G I was able to stipulate the number of bars the phrase should last so is there a similar feature on Sonar, or is there another way to solve this problem?
Once again, any help would be much appreciated.

Just grab the end of the clip and drag it to the desired length.

When I record a clip I always record a measure or two before and after the measures I want. This tends to make the transitions before and after the clip much smoother plus this way nothing will get cut out of the part you recorded.

I hope this helps and good luck.

Thanks guys, trouble is I do want the clip to end exactly at the end of the bar so that when I copy the clip it will paste at the beginning of the next bar, is there anyway of editing clips in an event list situation when you could type in the exact value you want? One other little point, what is the resolution (PPQNs) of Sonar, the tempo read-outs are a little inscrutable?

highlight the clip then press i to open track inspector. click the clip tab then select properties. about halfway down youll see a field called beats in clip. adjust that number. ppqns are determined in preferences/midi. they can go as hiqh as 960.
