Hi Guys, nice one, I like the song and really love the guitar solo ; ) Maybe it's because english is my third language but I find it hard to understand the vocals, they sound buried in the mix. Guitar solo is so nice it should be a bit louder, imho ; ) Rik

English is my first language ( Okay.. It's my only language..:) But I agree with Rikkie. The vocals are a bit buried in the mix. Nice tune though. I really like the line 'I can feel your heart in my head'.. Good writing. Good recording. Thanks for sharing!

First thing I thought was that the vocals are a little deep in the mix, then I read the two comments above and thought OK I am not going crazy, like the lead could come up a tad, thanks for sharing.

Rik, Thank you for listening and commenting. I am discussing with the group, the vocals. Sounds like we may need to tweak them. Darin and Wookie- Thank you both for confirming what Rik is hearing.

I have updated the mix on this song and raised the Lead vocal level by 1 db. I think it sounds much better.

Hi Michael, just listened to the new mix and I can understand the vocals better although when the backing vocals come in I have a really hard time understanding the vocals but that could just be that my english isn't good enough ; ) What I do understand is the guitar solo, that first lick is absolutely lovely : ) Rik

Better, the lead vocal is now sitting just in front of the band, though when the backing/harmony kicks in I think you need to get better separation from them and the lead, it sounds here a little crowded around them. The lead guitar is also sitting much better.

Thanks Wook - Michael is out of town on a business trip now and further tweaks to the mix are probably on hold until he returns. and he'll be gone for a while. we'll still take them down and make note of them for any changes necessary when he returns, tho! feel free to continue commenting! thanks again so far everyone!

cool song...I'd still bring the vox up...it still sounds much smaller than the guitars... I'd try to double the vox (re-doing the same part) then pull one left and the other right then bump one forward in the mix to give it a bigger sound stange...again now it sits in the middle of the mix and comes across weak (as compared to the rest of the music).... very cool tune and great performances...I really enjoyed it!

Good song with a nicely thick but still clear arrangement. Sounds good! Although, I do agree with the comments above that the lead vocals could use just a teeny bit more leveling so they float above the music throughout.

As a guy who struggles getting vocals placed right in the mix, this sounds good to me! But go with what the others said, because I am reviewing it on my tablet and the stereo quality is, well, not great. Just goes to show what good monitors can reveal, I guess.

Hey Wookiee, thanks for listening and commenting. Sounds like I have the Lead Vocal sitting much better in the mix, but that I need to work on the back ground vocals a little. I am out in Las Vegas working on a trade show and won't get back until June 11th. When I get back in the Studio, I will work on tweaking this a little.

Pogue- Thank you for the listen. I have never had good luck doubling the verses on a Lead Vocal, so I have got a few other things I may try. Yes, I can raise it a little still, but I may be accomplish the same result with a few other tweaks. I'll give it a go when I get back to the Studio. If I am hearing you correctly, the rest of the mix sounds good, just a little thin or weak on the vocal.

Steve, thanks for listening brother. Love your comment, "thick, but still clear". I have been really working on wider sounding mixes, while still retaining the clearity. Sound like it is only the Lead Vocal that needs to be a little more prominent. All of you guys are kind of saying the same thing, but a little differently. I feel like it is really close and just needs a little tweak yet. Cwestmont- I appreciate you letting me know that it sound good to you, even if you are listening on a tablet. It sounds good to me too, on a tablet. I think its really close, but overall, sounding pretty good.
