Let Me Down Easy (Cover){Mix #3}

My band recorded this recently.  It's a nice song by Billy Currington.

Latest Mix: I retracked Buffer's vocal and added a third harmony vocal.

Hey Guys! Thanks for listening and commenting. Glad you like what we have so far. We have 4 more to finish for this demo CD, including 2 originals. Beagle, I know how that is. Some projects just keep smoldering on the back burner until life gets out of the way for a while.

    Starise,
    Thank you!

    Mr. Larry,
Thanks for checking it out. I think Buffer has vibrato on the word 'easy'.   I'm glad you like my choir too.

    Steve,
Thank you greatly! Glad you're liking the sound of my LP Supreme and GT-8 5-1 patch.

    Lynn,
    Thank you very much!

    James1213,
    Much appreciated, my friend!

Jammer, the guitar sounds great, but it's on my laptop :-( I'm getting this sound card fixed this week and can listen again "in the cans."

Your performances are golden as always... The singer is "not bad?" I'll leave it there.

(just heard the electric lead, really sweet...) It's good that people have access to talent like yours.

I can't appreciate the mix till I get my M'er F'in notebook fixed, so I can plug my cans in? Till then, there's no use in listening to "the quality" of the recording... Only the performances, and the general theme... :-( Maybe in a few more daze... I'm sure my last comments still stand like granite.

And by "M'er F'in?" I mean "Martha Faulkin..."

    Great song, and nice harmonies.

Is there any pre-delay on the reverb? I really can't tell

Thank you, James! Yes, there is a 30ms pre-delay on the verb.

I might think about moving that to around 70-90ms to give the vocal just a bit more space unto itself.

I'll give that a try for sure, James. We're gonna retrack the vocal too. Buffer was too far away from the mic so his voice sounds thinner than tissue paper.

A 'different' Scotty-tune to my ears ... more counters, more instruments, more vox, etc.  ... more band-like collaborative excellence.

That said, this is my fav I've heard from you.

Nice work. I had a flashback to the late 70s there. Put me back in the Eagles era, though I don't know when that one exactly was originally done. I'd never heard it, or don't remember having heard it originally on the radio. It definitely had the 'smooth semi-country rock' vibe of the era.

    Very nice Scotty!

Maybe it's you guys or just that I'm getting soft as I get older but I'm starting to warm up to country music. Maybe it's just that it's a great song that's performed extremely well?

    Oh well, very well done!
