Let me be your Synthmaster
Here is a new song I wrote for the Synthmaster contest that is going on now. It's very 80s influenced and this is the 2nd song I've ever written with vocals. Tell me what you think.

Very cool tune Chandler, definitely had the 80's vibe written all over it....I like it. What did you use for the robotic voices? It fits this track very nicely....only the chorus parts seemed slightly loud, but that can also be a good thing (dynamics). :)) Well done on this.....enjoyed it with my morning cup of coffee. Good luck with the contest.

Cool track. Could be off a Chromeo album. I would just change the drum sounds. Too 8bit. I get that you where going for retro, but the drums didn't sound that bad back then, lol. 80's drum machines sounded punchy and fat. think dance floor. Otherwise, very cool track.

Mesh - Thanks I actually used Synthmaster and SynthmasterONE for the robot voices. It has a vocoder built it, so I thought I'd use it. I did a quick break down of the different sounds here.
Hugh Mann - Thanks. I've liked all the stuff from Chromeo I've heard. I was actually inspired by them and Tuxedo to do a track like this. You're right about the drums though, I should have done a little but more. I left the samples a bit too unprocessed.

Chandler Definitely has the 80s sound down. Love the lyrics! Wouldn't be surprised if Synthmaster used this on their website. Good luck.

That's a nice blast from the past and like Bjorn said Synthmaster may be interested in this, you should submit it to them.

The 80's are a bit of a blur to my furry mind (70's and 90's likewise) though thta is another story.
From what the furry brain can recall it has that vibe mix works here. Thanks for sharing.

Very clever tune. I like all of it but the drums. Fun listen.

I'm a fan of organic, natural-sounding acoustic drums - but I'm gonna go against the grain here and say I thought the drums were perfect for this song. Made me think of Flash and the Pan. I liked it. And I hated the 80's. So there ya go.
