Hi Rod,
For my parts, slide and lead after Scott's fiddle, slide was Tele into Line 6 and lead was Strat into Line 6. Standard tuning and no change in action. I'd surely change my slide tones and part since I've had more listening time.
Please take into consideration the last time I played a slide part was somewhere in the early-eighties for one tune, in a cover band. But that's what I heard for the tune so gave it a shot. I can't answer for the other guys guitar parts so also curious to hear from them.
Glad you liked it and I enjoyed Her Majesty and Yesterday. You have a good sound. When you get that voice tuned in it's going to be very good. Very enjoyable voice to listen to.

Well, the guitar I played was a Paul Reed Smith - I went directly into a POD XTLive.

I am responding before I read any of this thread.

Great song. Nice playing all. Very Good singing.

Only one comment. The overall hue of the tacks feels like it's veiled in gauze. That probably doe not malke any sense so I'll say muted. Not any one instument. If I did not know better, and I surly don't, it sounds like there is an overall reverb on the track that eq's out the "sizzle" of the track I was hoping to hear.

Other than, excellent job guys.

BTW, I was using headphones that I know and trust for the listen.

For my part, I have a very elaborate mike setup.  I'll go through it one step at a time.  Ready?  EV PL76B into a EdirolUA-1ex interface into the program.
I've had the mic for 30 years.  I hope you're asking because you thought it sounded ok.  It sure is easy.  Of course the producers Dave Logan on this and Mark Cline on Pugtones music make me sound better than I should.  Those are the guys to make friends with.
Thanks to all who commented.  I am so glad Dave is getting a good reaction on this song.  You know, the song comes first, then the players.  I've heard the best players on a bad song and it sounds like great players but you don't go back for more.  Dave caught a wave here and rode it in!

Hey Guys,
I'm obviously late to the party!  Great sound, great performances, great tune.  I loved every second of this.  Really nice vibe.

This is a fresh change of pace.  Thanks!

Thanks so much Daryl, Rod, kcearl, Bapu & Rich! Go glad to get such a postive reaction and people are having fun listening to this song! I obviously struck gold with the guys who helped me out on this.

Bapu - the wave file (obviously) sounds better than the MP3, but I do have a very small amount of Perfect Space convolution reverb on the master bus. With all of the different tracks I thought it helped pull it together "in the same room", but I'll take a look to see if I need to dial that back a bit.

Thanks again!

Hippies can't dance, they'er too stoned, I know this from experience.

This has Nitty Gritty Dirt Band feel, or maybe The Grateful Dead.

This was refreshing, and I can't find much to nit-pick.  Thanks for a side trip from the "norm".   HOT guitar break!

I used to play bass in a Grateful Dead tribute band :-) People (in the audience) used to get pretty wasted... :-) It was a good time, and we weren't bad either ;-)

Yea, I do to robby, I've got it in my lap right now - recording the basic rhythm track of a new tune.

They are very versitile.

Hope all is well with you.

Not that it means anything, but my triple guitar part was done with my Les Paul Supreme played through a Boss GT-8. My acoustic fiddle was recorded with a Rode NT1000 through an ART DPSII preamp.

Well, yea, it doesn't mean anything to me, but I'm sure it does to someone.

From the first note I can say I love the mix!The bass, violin and guitar are great. A very fun song. The country rap is funny. The lead guitar is so nice. Great job guys.

Yeah, definitely a Neil Young vibe here.  Not my favorite style, but there's no denying the talent here and the song is pretty catchy.  You guys definitely sound like a group that's been playing together for years - excellent performances all around!  The mix sounds great, but my one criticism is that the track loudness seems very low overall compared to everything else I've been listening to in the past hour or so.  But, maybe that was an intentional hippy statement to end the loudness wars and save the whales (well, their hearing, at least)???

Thanks Steve!

Dave - appreciate the comments! Yeah, you know us hippies we have to be rebels!! We tried a sit-in to protect the loudness wars but it didn't do much good...
