I voted even though I doubt it will change much in the grand scheme of things.

It won't get me better wages.
It won't get me cheaper medical insurance.
It won't put all the other DAW manufacturers out of business.
It won't get me an improved drum mapper.
The talent button? Forget it.

Voted, but would recommend a greater youtube presence to reach users.

Also, while i'm on the soapbox ... If it were easier to create videos demonstrating Sonar I'll bet this "presence" would explode.  My 2 cents.

I'm surprised with some of the DAW's (sub-par) listed in that poll, though.

Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

I don't. It should be titled The Most Popular DAW.  Usually FL Studio or Live wins it.

Voted, but having sent 25 years of my professional career trying to convince other musicians how much more more deeply functioned Sonar is compared to other DAW's only to see so many people drawn to whatever new kindergarten kid is on the block, I have all but given up caring what the rest of the world thinks!

Of course that is how it works, and it is up to the users to vote to help give what they use more visibility on such lists.

Music Radar which is tied to Computer Music Magazine (as far as I know) is a pretty big deal, with a large audience.

Sonar was #7 on the list last year.

Re: Let's vote for Cakewalk Sonar here : 2016/09/17 05:06:08 (permalink)

Like many that voted [I am not suggesting anybody here whatsoever] I somehow suspect
some may have not really got stuck in,worked their "grey matter" to almost meltdown on
any another daw,and only the daw in which they have ever used, was what they voted for?

Obviously I do not know,I just have observed how protective fragile ego's of most
humans, could perhaps vote in this manner, again no proof, just an observance made while
visiting another Pro Audio forum in which such behaviour seems rife.

My outdated less powerful than this laptop, and also with Win 7 Professional on it
desktop, still has X3 on it,and some fragments of earlier projects[very silly backup method
obviously] from the 4TB WD USB 3.0 external that I was forced into formating-["panic due to the good ole RAW"which went on for weeks, and learned how to fix it sort of] there by
losing all the earlier Sonar projects on,and quite a bit of despondency and family tragedy
has made anything like 2011,2012,2013,2014,2015 a seemingly very different reality.

I should vote Sonar regardless,it needs the support, and can be beyond brilliant software, even
though I do not feel like basically lying[just what I think],due to as I said-"I need to have some actual finished
projects,in another Daw"at the very least for the vote to be at the very least not
"fragile minded nonsense",i.e. fanboy sillies.

So fun and up aussie grammatically dyslexic  Bob :)
