Leveling Amplifier Comparison - CA-2A T-Type to Softube Summit TLA-100A

Hi;
Has anyone here seen or have you done a side-by-side comparison to these two LA's? The cakwalk CA-2A and the Softube Summit TLA-100A.

I have done a search through the forum (and through the net) and have found others compared to the CA-2A but not to the Softube unit.

Thanks for your replies!

Regards,
Del

    CA2A and Summit models different units. You should comapre it to some of LA2A models...

    Hi Del,
    I have to disagree with BluerecordingStudios, the Summit TLA-100A is definitely modeled on the LA-2A. I happen to own one and I think I posted a a comparison a while back. Search around a bit on my username....should still be lying around here somewhere.

    On the Softube website is says it's "basically impossible to make it sound bad." So there you go. It's the greatest plug that ever existed.

    Hi Sharke,
    Well, I have the hardware not the plugin and it does sound pretty good.
    Like you, however, I do take exception with the idea that it's impossible to make it sound bad. I have a long and undistinguished history of making audio gear sound bad and I'm confident that, if pressed, I could do the same thing for this piece of gear.

    When it comes to making otherwise nice gear sound like crap, I have skills I tell you. Angry, angry skills!
