Lexicon Alpha audio interface

anyone have any problem configuring the Lexicon microphone input or the ASIO drivers inside of Home Studio 7xl under Windows XP?
 
the Lexicon Alpha came with Cubase LE5 and everything loaded and worked fine under that system, but couldn't get it to work without distortion in Sonar or Ableton, besides adjusting bit and sample rates.

    did you change to ASIO driver mode in SHS7?  default driver mode is WDM with medium latency settings.  you have to adjust the settings either in WDM mode or change to ASIO mode and then adjust the buffers in the Alpha.
