Lexicon/Vista Audio Issues.

Horrible distortion problem here with Lexicon Alpha and Lambda with HP Compaq Laptop; AMD Athlon X2, 2GB Ram, Wndows Vista (32 bit OS). Running ASIO4ALL doesn't help, and Lexicon seems to have turned a deaf ear on the matter. Anyone know what can be done here, aside from downgrading to XP?

Respectfully,

    Select the Windows Classic theme.

Even the ASIO driver which comes with the Lexicon isn't very good (this is the situation with omega asio driver which can be replaced by 3rd party asio driver developed by usb-audio (http://www.usb-audio.com), you should use it instead of Asio4all.

    Also, worth to try :
    - disable WiFi if available
    - disable onboard audio chip (or set the Lexicon as clock source if possible) and all other unneeden devices/controllers
    - run laptop with using battery only
    - check the power usage of the USB controller you have Lexicon plugged

I run Vista 32 on a HP desktop w/ no problems.  Not that it is any help, but should help take the OS out of the equation.

I think it's the Operating System causing the problem. I told her to re-install Windows MCE, but I do not think they gave him a Windows CD. I think she was burned from a recovery partition, I told him to find one. But it does not seem to work.

I have Lexicon Alpha running fine on a Windows XP laptop. Only got noise when I hooked it up to a Vista laptop and I tried all the drivers.
