Lexington, anyone notice Media Browser lags when browsing folders in the drive?
Since Platinum day 1, it's been this way. When browsing folders in my drive using Media Browser in Sonar, whenever entering into a folder, the browser lags about a second or so. Not a huge problem, but definately a pain and slows me down. I use X3 in the same system as well and it doesn't have this issue at all. I reported this issue to Cakewalk months ago, but didn't hear anything from them yet.

Hi, I was also thinking about this issue. When I try to preview some 'wav' files from Sony Media's '1001 Sound Effects' the Media Browser plays for only 4 seconds. However, other wav files preview normally. I also made a test with Sonar X3 and MC 6, and the preview worked fine on these cases. I also would like to say I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Best regards

Turn off "Preview at Host Tempo" and "Loop Preview." That should help.

Probably not related, but since I installed Lexington, I noticed sonar was taking pretty much longer to open. From about five seconds to 30 or more seconds. Eventually I figured out the browser was indexing folders and drives every time it opened, like in the olden days. The browser is open in my normal.cwt file, which was causing the delay in sonar opening. If I open a file that has the browser closed, the file opens right away, but if I then open the browser in that file, the browser doesn't open for a while and the disks are active. I figured if it was a widespread problem, others would mention it, but nothing so far. I've also tested with virus protection off, etc., and no difference. Weird and slightly annoying. It reminds me of the old problem when the browser was choking on floppy drive controllers. EDIT: btw, I haven't ruled out the possibility that this could be related to a Windows 10 update or something. Might be a coincidence that the problem appeared the same time as Lexington.

Hi, Mr Anderton Thanks for your response! I tried your suggestion, but I made the opposite, as I normally let the 'Preview at host tempo' and 'Loop preview' at off position. Fortunately turning on the loop preview did the trick! Thanks!
