Lick Library
Anyone familiar with Lick Library? About to order something. Are they reliable and reputable? Don't want extra, exorbitant charges on my card. Thanks.

I'm surprised Band19 hasn't commented on this thread yet.

Thanks for the replies. I've already ordered so it doesn't matter at this point. I'm thinking they are OK. They didn't take PayPal was my only concern. With PayPal if there's a problem you can always get reimbursed plus the website don't want to get a bad standing with PayPal. But c'est la vie as Chuck Berry once said.

Let us know... I searched, it looks like a cool site. I used to spend money on Trufire but I found I wasn't getting my moneys worth. It was not their fault, they have a good product. It was just that I am lazy. http://truefire.com/landing.html J

OK, jbow, will do. I ordered some Joe Satriani licks plus an arpeggio tutorial (sweep picking). I haven't practiced in years so now that I'm retired a little catching up (if possible) will be nice.

I had never heard of them. but I'm not looking for more libraries ATM anyway. let us know what you think of them! BTW - where's Cooper? ah heck, I'll look it up. looks like you're a little north of Sulpher Springs....quite a ways away from me, actually.

Lived in the Dallas area for 40 years. Lots of it in Irving. Retired and moved back home. Cooper's about 80 miles NE of Dallas. See you're in Ft Worth. Been there many times.

Personally, I really don't care for Dallas, or Irving or any city in the surrounding Dallas area. I prefer the west side, it's a big town with a "small town feel."

This Lick Library looks good. I looked at the preview of the "play like" FREE DVD... it looks good and easy to understand. 5 bucks a week... shoot, I might try it for a while. I put it in my favorites and left a tab open. I am prone to impulse buy so I want to give it a few days. I need to learn some new licks. I tend to play things the ay I remember them instead of trying to learn how they were played originally. Some things I perfer to do my way but I guess learning to right way would be good, especially on simple stuff...then again every time I see some live performance on YT or some DVD... the guitarist is always playing the song different from the album version... I guess as long as it sounds good and I am having fun it does not really matter, not to me anyway. Still, some songs I would like to learn to play RIGHT. I will probably jump at this Lick Library. I used to use the Line6 Toneport online service and enjoyed it, but it is gone now. I learned the basics of Rock and Rll Hootchie Coo there.

Wow, gone are the days when you'd look forward to the new issue of Guitar Player magazine each month, only to find the featured lesson was "sweep picking stacked fourths" by Frank Gambale again.
