Lifetime membership Rolling Updates Membership ends soon email

I purchased the Lifetime upgrades last month (indicated with infinity symbol.) I just received an email from Cakewalk "Your SONAR Rolling Updates Membership ends soon!
30 days remaining in your SONAR Platinum Rolling Updates Membership.."

Is this just to indicate my year to year is ending & the lifteime will take over afterwards?

Did you look in your account page on cakewalk to verify that you have a lifetime upgrade?

This sort of thing is preventable and should never happen.
Email distribution lists. A lifetime membership should remove you from that list.
But things are different today. Everywhere I'm afraid.

In 'My Products' Plat registered 8/25/2015 ( so that would mean ending 8/25/2016)
    in 'About Sonar' 12/24/2037

The About screen indicates lifetime updates. My guess is the email is in error. Your member status is shown at the top of the column showing your Registration/Purchase Date and it is also shown here https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Membership

There may be an issue with simultaneously having a monthly and lifetime membership. Some people have reported that they continue to be billed for the monthly membership after doing a "purchase," and it appears that you are not automatically transitioned but must explicitly cancel the monthly billing at least in some cases. The monthly billing is done by a contractor, and the lifetime upgrade comes directly through Cakewalk. Check to see if you are still being automatically billed for the monthly.

ALL sales at the Cakewalk store are processed by Cleverbridge. It is true, stopping monthly billing is a manual process requiring the user to initiate the request. It does not matter if the user purchases an upgrade to lifetime updates, monthly billing continues until the user stops it. Refer to I am on the "pay monthly" membership plan. How do I upgrade to SONAR Platinum lifetime membership? in the FAQ http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3429473

Except I never had a monthly  subscription, mine was yearly.
I upgraded to the Lifetime plan in June.
