Lift me up!

Finally found some boxes to lift my monitors to an acceptable height, they were too high up on the shelf before, now I just need to buy some isolation pads and some decent monitors!

When you get the isolation pads, you'll need something else...it never ends. Looking good so far.

I'm using some dense foam used in the HVAC trade under my monitors. Probably not quite as good as the dedicated ones but the price was right.

Even with the isolation pads those boxes need to be stuffed with something to stop the resonating.  Acoustic wool is best.

I was thinking sandbags or gravel.

Good plan though I would recommend dry builders sand held in a good plastic bag, builders sand because it packs tight.  Then any gaps fill with acoustic wool.  That will give you good stability and reduce the resonance.

The Auralex Mopads are installed.

The bass sounds so much better now, more distinct , I can feel the monitors vibrate but the boxes don't anymore.

It's all ready for some new monitors now, after a few years of my M-Audio StudioPro4's I have treated myself to a pair of Adam A5X's, should be with me by Wednesday!

I use throws, silk, mouse pads, and it seems to be just fine. Weird that we have to get special pads for everything, and pretty soon my dick?
