Linking or Grouping tracks controls

Hi.
I'm looking at one of the demos in X1 and I see three tracks names as FX, with different special effects like wind sounds and such. There is a lot of automation, when I play it I see the faders go up and down. Nice!
Still, when I try to solo one of the FX tracks, all of the others FX also solo! And if I try to change the volume fader in one, all the FX move at the same time. I know there are groups, but when I rigth click on the volumen control I see the clear group disabled. Also, the groups manager does not show any groups in it.
How was that done?
