    Gators and big snakes run a muck here in Louisiana. Not as bad as the politicians but bad enough

    I don't like snakes (me and Indy Jones "why is it always snakes?"); I'll take bears anytime!
    Actually there wasn't anything "smelly" in the can, that's why he left.
    Bears will eat things that would knock a maggot off a gut wagon.
    You should see (smell) some of the things I've seen (smelled) bow hunters use for "bait".

    I'm just curious. Why so many garbage cans? Is garbage pickup done infrequently?

    Broken pencils are pointless.

    I generate a lot of cardboard, so I don't pay for weekly pickup.
    I hit the "dump" about once a month.
    The local squirrels made a mess of the plastic cans, which are all maybe 15 or more years old,
    so I bought the steel cans.
    The local fauna have "exploded" in recent years.
    There had always been a few deer living in the neighborhood, most homes are on 1 acre plus lots,
    but then the squirrels, elk, and now the bear moved in.
    40 years ago, when there was a lot of undeveloped ground, sightings were rare;
    now that its all "built up", seeing deer and elk is pretty common.
    That was the first time I've ever had the trash cans knocked over, I would have assumed it was the
    neighborhood dogs without the ring.
    My hunting days are long gone,

    so he's safe from me at least.
