Liquid Mix

Someone gave me an old focusrite liquidmix 16. I've been searching the forum and it gets great reviews...when it works.  Evidently it's iffy with sonar 64 (which is what I use).  Is it worth using with jbridge or is the current state cakewalk technology (i.e. their plug ins etc ) so good that it's not worth bothering about?  I do tend to run out of resources with I use a lot of plug ins.  I
was wondering if off loading it to the liquid mix would help.

TIA!

I was using a liquid mix 32 for many years. I just recently retired it. It works fine if you jump through all the hoops. You need to use legacy drivers, JBridge, set the sidspeed in the registry correctly. I was only using it for the simulated variable mu compression on the master bus. After I bought the Klanghelm MJUC, it sounded so good that I disconnected the liquid mix, and haven't looked back.

My Liquid Mix became flaky when I went to 64bit - think that was around Sonar X1 time.
I did try for a while then decided to let it go to the store room were it is very happily enjoying its retirement
