Live Dynamic Volume Display on Audio Clips
My Sonar 8.5 Producer used to display live dynamic volume at the play cursor overlaid on top of the audio clips. Somehow this option has been turned off and I can't find it anywhere in the settings. Does anyone know how to turn this feature back on? Thanks a lot.

Click on the waveform button on the track, if that button is not visible, click on the all tab at the bottom left of the screen and then on the waveform button on the track.

Are you referring to peak markers, perhaps? That can be turned on via the dropdown metering options on the toolbar.

gustabo Click on the waveform button on the track, if that button is not visible, click on the all tab at the bottom left of the screen and then on the waveform button on the track. There is no "waveform" button in the track info area.

No, not peak meters. What I'm referring to is a small display of the number value in dB of the last highest peak volume value as the clip plays along. It changes dynamically every time a new highest peak is hit.

Oh yeah, I was thinking of busses. Sorry, finally went to my daw and fired up 8.5.3 to check it out. I haven't used 8.5.3 since X2 was released so I was going by memory. Sorry about that!

I said "markers", not "meters". Those are peak markers, and they are enabled via the metering options.

I had forgotten that Sonar doesn't put all of their "options" in one place like most other software I use does.

X1 does put them all in one place. But in doing so they actually made some settings less convenient. Just one of the reasons I'm still at 8.5.
