Sounds good to me Wayne, I can follow everything in the mix. One thing though...where's the lead singer? Oh, there he is, right at the end!

That's wonderful! Everyone sounds terrific. The only thing I would change would be to bring up the vocals of the guitar player on the left, like at 1:16 where he gets pretty low in the mix. Other than that you're gold.

I'd say your ears are working well, but I kind of intentionally needed him under a bit to hide some odd things I know he wouldn't want the world to hear. It was nearly 100 degrees and I don't think it agreed with him. Thanks for the input. I always worry about the bottom end and getting that right. The kick was captured with a PZM and I'm kind of thinking that works well for live.

The kick was fine. And I figured that might have been the case with the vocal. Thought I'd mention it though just in case it was an oversight. Cheers.

This is one of the only two songs in the forum from the past few days that are good enough for airplay. I haven't been here long, but it seems I've wondered into a mutual admiration society where crummy musicians pat each other on the back and ignore anyone who actually does something worthwhile. This is an excellent song and recording all around. I liked the guitar solos a lot too. I live an hour north of Nashville, and this band could play any venue down there.

Seems a rather harsh assessment - I wasn't aware we were only supposed to post stuff worthy of airplay. It takes considerable guts to post your music online for others to critique and I have always thought of this as a forum where people can showcase their talent - such as it is - and receive constructive feedback on their work. In my experience, if someone thinks your work can be improved they will say so and offer opinions on how you might do that. If your music doesn't do it for them - they might tell you that too; we just try and do it in as constructive a way as possible. Oh and if we really don't like something we hear - then we might just not offer an opinion at all. I hope that helps you understand how the forum works and that you can find a voice here that fits in to the spirit of the place - if so you'll be made welcome I am sure. If it's not for you, then the interweb is a big place...

I hope that helps you understand how the forum works This isn't 1993. We all know exactly how it works. The web has always been a hangout for the misfits of the world with a gang mentality, and it will never change. If my assessment isn't for you, then perhaps you had better stay out of conversations that weren't addressed to you in the first place.

Mix worked well for me here Wayne could clearly hear all the contributors, good balance across the spectrum. If I could perhaps offer one small observation though, the lead singer seems a little stiff, could do with a little more audience interaction, perhaps if he stood up rather than be down on all fours it might work better Very good thanks for sharing.
