Great song and production, Frank.  Your consistency is what we all should aspire to.  I particularly like the lyrics to this.  I've been there before.

Nice licks and slide. Hard-knock lyrics. That lifestyle ain't easy to live... Been known to kill a man early.

That Squire/Micro cube combo never sounded better.

I like the slide and whistling guitar. The only thing that could make this Skynard style song any better would be that harp playing some fills.

Thanks Lynn... these lyrics were writtin for the most part by my friend, and fellow songwriter, Steve McMahan from Enterprise, Alabama...

Thank you Matt... you are so right... I wouldn't recommend this life style to anyone... (other than some rich, successful, country-music celebrety that's interested in re-recording the song as their new hit single)... Livin' like this could get you seriously killed... early...

Consistantly consistant... that good... no? Thanks Daryl...

"Squire/Micro cube"  That must be one of those newfangled square, pointy things I've heard so very little about...  actually it's was a '51 Nocaster, through a '66 Bassman...
BluesHarp... now that's a good idea...

I'm really sorry you can't afford to get something new Frank. It breaks my heart that you have to settle for these antiques.  There's not much that sounds better than a Fender Squire through a Roland Microcube. Well, geese farts on a muggy day "maybe?" But that's about it, nothing else.  Mmmmmm Canadian Geese Farts... Hey! I just got an idea for a new song! (Please do not try to steel it, I don't have the copyright yet.)

Hey Frank, really cool and great production.  The drums sound killer.  I also like the delay used on the vox.  The guitar licks were really neat, I commented on Soundcloud.  Awesome job all around, thanks for posting this!

    Hey Frank
    Very nice work!!!
The only thing I noticed was very few but a couple spots with the guitar licks (the small embelishments) were a tad light in spots. I love them in southern rock and I wanted to here 'em just a little louder. (This is a personal taste )

    Keep 'em comin-Like your style

Ha, lyrics I can relate to.  This is HOT!  I'll bet this flies high at a live performance!   Great mix and I love the way it starts.  The one note comes in and then the guitar on both sides. " Not livin' a storybook life but one hell of a song", buddy these lyrics relate a big chunck of my life.  LOVE IT!  Oh, my favorite mix of yours for awhile.

Thank You Mike... I appreciate your comments... If you could be more specific and note the time marker, I'll add some automation and fix those "embellishments"... I always worry about stepping on the vocal... but I hate to bury a hotlick too...

Tremendous song on all fronts. I have to 2nd with the other comments that the drums really pop out in a nice way on this. And love the transition to the wide/doubled guitars at the beginning.
