Outstanding... Ed, what did I tell you about Rich's voice... First time I heard Rich sing I new he was a ringer...  Great performances on the drums, bass & strings Ed... and the mix is excellent... James, the guitar & keys are lovely... Rich, thet was knocked out... Love the sound of your voice, and the flute was dead on... Great work guys... very impressive...

Great collaboration this guys. Loved the flute throughout the song, and the vocals were spot on as was the whole package.

April or May it sure did kick my butt! Thanks to Bapu for considering me to colab on this project. This project was certainly a challenge for me. I own a flute and don't consider myself to be a flute player. This project, as simple as it my sound, was a stretch for me. I have a new found respect for flute players. Flute is a difficult instrument to play. Thanks everyone for the compliments. Bapu did an upstanding job on the mix and Bass part as did James on the Organ and guitar.

Excellent cover. Mix sounds good but I agree that the vocal needs to come up a touch... or perhaps just an eq boost at the right freq. reat job.

It sounds jerky and out of key. The original seems a lot smoother. Somehow the beginning sounds off key. The flute tone eventually gets better throughout the song.

Worth noting that Ian Anderson played the flute using incorrect fingering until about 1995, then he had to re-learn it!

Rich - don't defend yourself to Pete, he's not worth your time. the flute is a tad choppy, but that's only a minor nit compared to the performance, recording and placement in the mix. all well done, IMO. You've done VERY well with the flute on this! baps - "best vocal yet"  and nicely mixed, too. nothing stands out to me at all james - excellent work as usual from you. it kind of gets monotonous to continue saying that, but you've put the "bar" at a place where it's hard to move! I'm not a Tull fan myself (even passed up a free ticket from my friend to see Tull last month) but out of the Tull stuff, this song is not something I can't stand to listen to and you guys have done an excellent job on it!

Reece, I wasn't defending myself only my collaborators! I know enough about Pete to know that, most of the time, he does come across brash-ish but he was spot on with his criticism. Nothing to defend he's right and no personal insult taken.

no worries my friend. Pete is always brash but most of the time he just says stuff to be obnoxious. occassionally he does have some vital input, but he's always trying to shock people with his comments regardless. that's why I mostly ignore him. if he weren't trying to shock people even with good critiques then he'd have more respect from his words. I did really enjoy this and did really enjoy the flute and the vocals! LOL (just had to rib Ed, tho!)

I think you did an amazing job fellas. Given that Tull lives in my ipod, I narrowed my eyes a little when I clicked the link, but am happy to say I was not disappointed. I think the flute sounded awesome. The vocals sounded the most natural and unstrained I have heard from Ed yet. The mix and tones spot on. Pistolpete, you are an idiot. Shutup and go away already (and stay away).

The jerky nature of the flute I suspect was down to Rich trying to get into the true spirit of the song and playing the flute Ian Anderson style i.e. On one leg. Nice job all-round I agree the vox could come up a tad. Round of applause chaps
