Wow, how 'Spy-Culture' in tone!  Oh cool!  Just caught the theramin voice.  (You might want to make sure your portamento handles the whole line - would be more theraminy).

Is it my imagination or does the bass line (when it gets busy) hang to the right a bit?  I like the line, mind you.

This is a very ornamental piece?  Did you plan to go into movie soundtracking cause you got the goods.  Well done!

Some hotter mastering might bring out the 'glory' of this piece with some sonic brightening and get rid of the wee bit of 'mush' in some of the lower mids, but apart from that, wow!  Great piece!

    Great to hear!

    Hi !
Hey glad you liked it :) I'll maybe have a look at the Portamento, its a good idea thanks.

Yep on the right speaker you can hear the bass strings plus a layered synth. You think it makes the mix lop sided ?. I wasnt sure where to put it as the bass guitar is bang in the middle and theres already a low line playing just to the right of the bass.Still, food for thought :)

Thanks for the compliment about the movie soundtrack...yep that would my dream job :)

For the mastering,I'll get somebody else to do it,I dont have a clue about mastering lol !!!

Glad you liked the piece, thanks for listening

Hey Kev, That was pretty awesome with lots of nice textures and voices and very creative to say the least. Pretty nice mix as well, everything seems to be coming thru at my end, nice and clear. Nicely done.

    Kev,

Nice job, instrumentation is really cool, 50's Spy theme'ish.    Very cool.   Overall it just needs a little mastering treatment and volume bump.  If I compare this to one of my favs from you, Dorian, there is a lot less mojo going in the overall energy of this one compared to Dorian.    Not mojo in performance but in the mix energy...  Hope that makes sense.   Nice one though.   Like it.....

I love the 1950's - early 1960's feel to this number.  It certainly does have that soundtrack sound.  I almost got the popcorn ready (however, it was all fuzzy --- reference previous song that I did).  There is a lot going on in this number (tempo changes, instrumentation, voices, etc.) and from my side they all work.
    Nice one!!!!

Whats mojo ?!! Thats new to me :) You mean the quality of the mix / overal levels ? Yep it does need some volume I suppose. When I mixed this I kept all the levels down by quite a bit to prevent clipping.Theres like 40 + tracks ! So it prob does need to come in a bit in the mastering for sure.
Glad u liked the overal track. Merry Xmas and best wishes for the new year !!!
