Logic 9 with VS-100 as DAW...help!!!

Hello,
I have read the manual and done exactly as it says...and when I press play
the cursor go nuts, nothing works really...why is it so? I´m afraid that I entered in "Controller Assignments" before I read the manyal, could it be that? Can I make a recall of that window? I´m really confused and it doesn´t work evena a little bit to use the VS-100 as DAW at the moment...please someone help out!!!
