Gave me a Randy Newman vibe (yes that's right, you made me feel Randy baby, Yeah!) Ever since that 1st long night in prison, I believe loneliness can have it's advantages... That piano may could roll off the highs (EQ) I may all so pull a little verb off of that sax. Sounded good though! Good job.

Thanks timidi. I am no keyboard player so anything I do with keys stands a real good chance of being corny! I usually make it work for me by not playing no more than I can get by with, glad you liked it.

so cool. Aside from the obvious midi sounding patches, this is a really great song. Look at replacing them with something that sounds better and still fits the groove of this song.
The mix itself is out-freaking-standing. Nice and clean.
On the replacement of the corny midi stuff...have a look at a band called Pomplamoose over on youtube. they use all sorts of things including kids xylophones, toy piano's and other unique instruments. Think outside the box.

Thanks Herb for the nice comments and feedback. I will check Pomplamoose out for sure. I have a couple horn players in my band,I will probably get them to do something on it eventually but I may come up with something better after listening to the videos you mention.
