Look what the bat dragged in! It's pedal-a-looza!

A friend of mine back in Montreal designs and builds those awesome boutique pedals and recently asked if I'd like to show them around down here in Las Vegas.

So these arrived by mail today. Am I excited? You BET!

I'm especially anxious to try the Booster/JFET driver - I've been looking for something like this to use in conjunction with my Marshall DSL green channel - to add a bit of gain w/o messing with the sound too much, and I was actually considering of JRG's pedals.

I've only spent a bit of time with each, but what a blast!

The only pedal I'd tried with my Les Paul+Marshall was my Boss Super OD. I didn't like the result. I've used my POD HD 300 for effects a few time, but it sounded a bit static and lifeless.

Both the booster (Rewolver) and the Dude Screamer provided great sources of gain for the green channel of my DSL. This is good news. I've always felt the red channel was a bit too "metal" for most of what I do, but I didn't really want to have it modified or even just to mess with different tubes. I wanted more of the green channel goodness.

The echo (Pink Pit) is incredible! I almost felt like I was thrown back in the 60s. The perfect pedal for our "gothabilly" project.

There's also a fuzz which is tons of fun to play with - I did not expect to like a fuzz quite as much tbh.  I still have to spend a bit more time with the other Booster/OD and the compression, but they seem quite good too.

I've never been a pedal type of guy, but there's at least a couple of those I can see myself carrying with me everywhere. The Dude and the booster were the missing link in my rig.
