Looking for Bass Effects and Settings
Hey Folks-- I'm working on a track where I think the effects that are applied to the bass on Journey's "Don't Stop Believing" would sound really good. My guess is the sound has distortion and chorus-or another type of delay modulation, but wondered if anyone has some specifics on what was used in the studio on that bass track? Thanks!! Stephen

I'll see if there is anything posted on how he dialed it in. Thanks

I gave the tune a listen, and there is definitely a chorus on the bass along with the boosted midrange you normally use to bring out the chorus effect. I also noticed that the piano is doubling the bass through much of the song, so some of that tone may actually be coming from the piano.
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff

I would agree with this... Dan

Hey BitFlipper I was listening while driving and I missed the piano layer. I'll give it another listen with headphones. Thanks!
