Looking for a New Orleans sound

especially drums - any ideas?? Trying to sound awesome and jazzy, and everything is coming out square and white.

    Lots of ghost notes.

Also, listen to the as much Nevilles, New Birth Brass Band, and all the great second line stuff as you can.

Just get that stuff in your head!!!

I believe there are some New Orleans flavored drum grooves in the Nashville EZX for EZdrummer.  It's a modified train beat type of thing.

Dave Modisette ... rocks a Purrrfect Audio Studio Pro rig.
