Looking for an Audio Engineer

I am working for a band in San Diego county (California) and I am looking for another audio engineer to step in and give me a break. If you like the job (if you take it and are accepted) I may just turn the whole thing over.

The duties include tracking, mixing, and editing. Tracking is for vocals only, editing and mixing are for all the tracks (MIDI drums, synths, audio guitar that is already recorded) and editing will include vocal pitch correcting.

All work is done in SONAR X1, pitch correcting is with V Vocal, Melodyne, or whatever you are comfortable with.

The mic is a U87, the preamp is an Avalon 737, the interface is a Roland Octa-Capture.

If in San Diego are and interested, please contact me with PM or respond in the thread.

Thank you,
-Charles

Or you do just the tracking and farm out the mixing and editing so the engineer could come from anywhere.

    Just a thought.

Wow, there are still bands in San Diego?  Gosh, it's been so long...  I miss the "circuit" of the 80's, Lehr's Greenhouse, Jose Murphy's, that bowling alley in El Cajon...  Yikes, I can't even remember all the names of the places!  *sigh*

Sorry Karyn, these guys are really weird about that. They will not allow anything to leave their studio. I basically have to go through a security check when I leave to make sure I have none of their material. Personally I think that is really stupid and makes them look a little paranoid.

I need a person in the area. The sooner the better because I really need a break very badly. This 7 days a week thing has me burnt out and I am getting a bit frazzled.

Try whistling one of their tunes as you're being patted down...

Ha ha ha, I had a genuine laugh at that. That was good, thanks. I needed that. I will in fact try that this evening when they let me out of my box.
