Looking for an advice for a first install of Sonar X3

Hello there, first post for me. I've got a long time ago Sonar X1 producer + its patch X1a/b/c. but never installed all of them. Later, I've got Sonar X3 producer as a upgrade offer. So now i have to choose the best way to install Sonar on my computer :

Shoud i install first X1, then its patchs and finally X3 ?

Or can i directely install the file Sonar X3 purchase as a "upgrade". I presume i can install X3 because the file downloaded should a "full X3" and not a patch that corrects older versions of Sonar ? I'm i right or wrong ?

Your advice is welcom for this first intall to me !

I've had x2, x3, and now platinum, and I've simply installed the latest version. I still have x2 and x3 on my computer, and I guess someday I'll uninstall them

    It depends.

If you want ALL the plug-ins dropped in X3, consider performing an advanced install of X1. Then install the SONAR Program (to get V-Vocal), Analyst, FX2 AmpSim, FX2 Tape Sim, VC-64, Guitar Rig LE. Also Beatscape came with X1. It is a separate installer, however; everything except the Beatscape synth itself (IOW all the content) is in the X3 "Loops and One shots" installer. I would not bother updating X1 though since all it providing are the extras not included in X3. Then install X3 and update to X3e.
    Or
Forget about the stuff unique to X1. Install X3 and update it to X3e. The X3 "upgrade" is the full retail product with a special upgrade price.

Hi. The different versions (X - series, except from X3 to 2015, I think) are separate programs. You could do an advanced install, and only install content that is not in X3. Then install X3. I do not have X1, so I do not know what items you should install. Others will know for sureBest of luck.
Ps.You got an answer while I was typing. I am a slowly typer

note: If you don't need all the plugins dropped in X3,
you don't need to install X1.
The X3 install includes all the fixes from X1 & 2.
