Looking for organ plugin
Not finding an organ plugin in platinum. What's a good one out there for a reasonable price?

VB3. I have tried others. VB3 beats all that I have tried including the B4 which I liked very much.

Dim pro has a good bunch, There's a Hammond B3 patch I bought on sale for $8. I even use the TTS-1 organs. Then go to KVR and try a bunch there. Lots of good organs free. And it depend on what you mean by organ as there's the 60's portables and then of course the big heavy Hammond complete with Leslie sim. I must have 100's on hand and all but the B3 patch came free.

You are correct there is no dedicated organ plug-in. Have you looked at any of the bundled synths for organ presets? Here are some of the bundled synths with organ preset covering a variety of organ types: Cakewalk Sound CenterDimension Pro has several folders for organs including a virtual B3 under Expansion Pack 1 > Organs. Here is an image detailing how the functions are mapped on the DPro UI for the virtual B3 GrooveSynthPSYNIIRaptureRapture SessionTTS-1Z3ta+ If you cannot find what you are looking for in those synths or just want a dedicated organ plug-in, check out VB3

Just picked up this DB-33 and have been exploring. Really nice presets. Versatile. B3 GUI with controllable Leslie speaker cab for that classic rock sound, jazz organ, Gospel, etc. Cool GUI. Unlike some I've seen, this actually has a super controllable Leslie rotary speaker cab where you can tweak both the rotating horn and the bottom-end drum speakers. Sounding great so far.
Worth a look for sure.

+1 for this. I have it to and like it very much. The person to ask on this forum is Bitflipper. He knows organs well.

Native instruments Vintage Organs are great. Especially when you tweak the drive knob up under the hood. Air knob is nice too. I have a drawbar controller for the software as well. Gotta work the drawbars!! I own a Hammond B3, CV, and a A-100. ;) Nothing beats the real thing! When I don't have mine handy I use NI.

I think Rapture Pro (it might be DimPro) has the "Jimmy" preset. That is what I use most of the time.
https://soundcloud.com/a-pleasure-dome http://www.bnoir-film.com/ there came forth little children out of the city, and mocked him, and said unto him, Go up, thou bald head; go up, thou bald head. 24 And he turned back, and looked on them, and cursed them in the name of the Lord. And there came forth two she bears out of the wood, and tare forty and two children of them.

RCG VB3 Jimmy is one of the virtual B3 presets shipped with DPro Expansion Pack 1. It will work in RPro but none of the extended features documented in the image I posted above work in RPro.

Used B4 until I got VB3. VB3 wins, hands down!! Don't let the cheap GUI fool you. There is a lot of horsepower in there!

If you are super broke then ($1) Air Xpand! 2 includes beautiful B3 presets. Can't go wrong with VB3 too.

FWIW, I use the older(way older) Linplug Organ3... I don't think its available anymore, but you might be able to email their on line support and see if they could "work something out"... They might have incorporated it into one of their other synths... http://linplug.com

VB3 is very good indeed if its Hammond organ you are after Vintage Organs is not quite as good a B3/C3 + Leslie setup, particularly at the crunchy end but it does have Farfisa and Vox organs in the package.

Dim Pro has some limited but useful Hammond patches if you only need something generic. But if you're looking for a virtual instrument that nails the full range of the Hammond/Leslie sounds, then VB3 is your solution. At fifty bucks, it's quite affordable and surprisingly authentic. I've even used it live on stage, and all my synth controls mapped to it nicely. VB3 is the engine under the hood of what is arguably the best Hammond clone on the market, the Crumar Mojo:
All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to. My Stuff
